The Cell Cycle

All multicellular organisms have a cell cycle - this is because some cells keep the ability to be able to divide. The cell cycle is split into a period of normal function (interphase) and cell division (mitosis).

Interphase is split into 3 stages called G1, S and G2.

Mitosis produces two, genetically identical daughter cells.
