T-Cells
T-cells are also known as a T-lymphocyte, which is another white blood cell. However, it has receptors which are complementary to the antigens presented on the cell-surface membranes of the phagocytes. There are different T-Cells which respond in different ways, including:
- Helper T-Cells
- These release chemical signals that stimulate phagocytes and B-Cells
- Cytotoxic T-Cells
- These kill cells that are not recognised by the immune system.
