Lesson 5: The Basic Units of Life

Cells are specialised (or non-specialised in the case of stem cells), and are the basic units of life.

  • They join together to form tissues.

There are many cells you would have learnt about at GCSE, including:

  • gametes (sperm and egg cells)
  • red blood cells
  • white blood cells and more.

We'll learn about many different cells and their functions during your Tutor Eagle flight through A-Level Biology.
