There's a group of cells in your body called B- and T- cells that help to protect us from disease together - called the immune system.

- Being immune to something doesn't mean you'll never be infected by that pathogen again
- It just means if it gets into your body for a second time, your immune system can kill it faster.
- The secondary response can only happen if it is the exact same pathogen. If it's a different one, you just get another primary response - even if it's a slightly different variant.
