Agal cells
Agal cells are very similar to plant cells as they carry out photosynthesis and have the same organelles. However, they are different as they can either but unicellular or multicellular. There are also some subtle differences such as the chloroplasts in many agal cells having a different shape or size compared to chloroplasts that are found in plant cells!
Fungal cells
Fungal cells are also very similar to plant cells, but like agal cells they can also be unicellular or multicellular! The differences between plant cells and fungal cells is that:
- Fungal cell walls are made from chitin, instead of cellulose
- They do not have chloroplasts as they do not photosynthesise.
