Unless you take Geography, you do not need to know what biotic and abiotic parts in much depth, but we'll list them below as it may be helpful for the synoptic essay.
The biotic part is the biosphere - this is the worldwide sum of all life
The abiotic parts of the cycle are the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere.
- The atmosphere refers to the layers of gas retained by gravity that surround the planet.
- The hydrosphere refers to all water on earth, including the oceans, ice caps, ponds, lakes, and water vapour.
- The lithosphere is the rigid, outermost shell of the earth, part of the crust. It is made out of different types of rock, sediment and soil.
