If the same pathogen infects the body, this is known as the secondary immune response. It is quicker and stronger than the primary immune response, as memory B-cells divide into plasma cells - producing large amounts of the correct antibody. Memory T-cells divide into the correct T-cell to kill the antigen-carrying cell. As it is a faster immune response, symptoms will not show.
